The older generation of the country has now received extensive vaccinations, and although their children and grandchildren are still locked up in France for the time being, they can finally enjoy life again. Anyway, CBD products have become very popular during the pandemic, and we want to understand how grandma and grandpa can really benefit from cannabidiol. There has been a lot of research on this issue, but not all retirees need CBD.

After all, the ingredients of the hemp plant are effective in many ways. What are the benefits of CBD for the elderly? Are there any specific rules for seniors?

Why are cannabinoids effective for the elderly?

Everyone has an endocannabinoid system (ECS). Just like lymph or blood circulation, many processes in the body are controlled by ECS. Healing from pain or inflammation and mood depends on a well-functioning system. For example, as usual, the immune defense capacity will weaken with age and this is where CBD comes in. The ingredients in cannabis are called cannabinoids, which have a biochemical mechanism that can stimulate our ECS system and grow precisely by consuming cannabinoids and other plant components. We activate the ECS, which will make the body more stamina and thus improve the health of the body.

What are the possibilities offered by the CDB?

In fact, it should be made clear if you are taking any medications – CBD lowers blood pressure and you should talk to your doctor before taking it to avoid cross effects. However, seniors should no longer believe everything in the doctor’s office and if the doctor refers to hemp, cannabidiol and ECS as a narcotic, it’s especially worth getting a second opinion, after all, our government is doing everything possible to ensure that there is as little education as possible about the highly effective and well-tolerated cannabinoids.

In any case, seniors can try CBD for the following benefits:

Neurodegenerative diseases Alzheimer’s disease and dementia are currently the subject of intense research and CBD may increasingly help in the future to combat these serious brain disorders, with indications such as Parkinson’s disease potentially being alleviated by cannabidiol’s very potent reduction in inflammation

Mental Health : Depression, loneliness and anxiety are unfortunately part of the daily lives of many seniors and we have all seen the conditions in nursing homes that people like Health Minister Spahn don’t care about. CBD can improve mood and give more joy in life, especially since according to some studies, concentration and cognitive functions improve.

Appetite Stimulation : Media-denigrated hemp users are well aware of the feeling of hunger after taking marijuana and with CBD one can certainly do something to have more appetite and a regular meal. Older people often don’t feel hungry, lose weight and weaken the immune system, which can be combated aggressively with CBD hemp.

Bone density : Of course, even hemp can’t regrow dwindling bones like in youth, but to at least alleviate painful osteoporosis in all its effects, it’s quite possible, and here we go again with CBD’s effectiveness against inflammation and as a cell repair aid.

We haven’t even talked about general pain relief, inflammation, stress reduction, and even heart health benefits, but it’s clear: CBD is a versatile product and is generally well tolerated, has a mild effect, and can be a good help for both acute problems and chronic stress as we age.

Peaceful sleep – who hasn’t? Even especially in times of stress and uncertainty, there is no substitute. Some people are even willing to pay a high price for a good night’s sleep – unfortunately, it’s not that simple. Sleep medicine numbs us instead of putting us to sleep, just like alcohol. On the other hand, counting sheep is not efficient enough for many people … As a result, the industry is still booming, and various miracle treatments are said to provide fast and effective relief. CBD is one of them. As a new or rediscovered herb, it is believed to allow us to slip into dreams naturally and quickly.

Use CBD oil to fall asleep better, it’s tempting. But what is the truth behind the claim that CBD oil helps you fall asleep? If so, how much CBD should I take to help me fall asleep? Is there an ideal dose of CBD oil for sleep disorders? Do I have to lose sleep first? Or can CBD oil generally help me fall asleep? One thing that’s happening now: from a scientific point of view, you can’t say as much with certainty as you think. One last thing is clear: if you suffer from severe sleep disorders, this is not an easy task, sleep is important! This is important for all types of sleep. If this is the case, be sure to talk to your doctor. Therefore: can CBD give you a good night’s sleep – a myth, a certainty or something in between? We’ll take a close look at this topic and explain how to optimize your sleeping habits. We will also try to recommend a dosage of CBD oil for sleep… Here we go!

Tip 1: Is CBD good for sleep?

We are talking about the classic antithesis of sleeping pills. Simply put, sleeping pills will disappoint you. It may help long-lasting insomnia, but it cannot solve any cause. On the other hand, cannabinoids linked to melatonin may promote sleep and help reduce “the fear of not being able to fall asleep”. The combination of different elements comes into play here.

As mentioned earlier, external cannabinoids can help the body’s cannabinoid system return to normal. In the long run, this can help you sleep better. For example, CBD derived from hemp also contains so-called terpenes. In other words, they can also calm you down, relax your muscles and reduce mild anxiety. At the same time, they accelerate the effects of the real cannabinoids. Want to know more about CBD and terpenes? In our cannabis wiki, we answer the most important questions about terpenes: “What are terpenes? What does this have to do with CBD?”

Which CBD oil for sleeping?

If you only want to know if CBD can help you sleep better, you can try using almost any CBD essential oil for sleep. We recommend you to try a broad spectrum cannabis extract, as this will immediately convince you of the special herbal synergy of the ingredients of the cannabis plant. Simply choose a CBD oil and apply it as recommended.

In addition, CBD oil for sleep can also be used with other active ingredients, such as melatonin and/or valerian. More information on this subject (CBD and melatonin – a good combination to fall asleep and stay asleep?)

So how much CBD oil is there?

In this guide we have explained how to optimize behavior and sleep. Of course, you can expand everything and then start using other CBD products from here. Especially if you don’t want to take a bath every night. But what is the right dosage of CBD oil? It varies from person to person. There are various studies on CBD sleep, showing the CBD sleep experience of candidates. But again, very accurate:

Is there an ideal dosage of CBD oil for sleep disorders?

For the most part, while CBD oil and sleep issues are no longer a new topic, there are still no specific dosage recommendations for different conditions. Unfortunately, this is still the case for normal sleeping CBD subjects or the correct dose of CBD oil for sleep disorders. However, at least you can use some sort of “crutch” to help you. In this case, it’s a simple method that anyone can use to get closer to their ideal dose: “Start slow, slow down! This means: start with a small amount and gradually increase until the desired effect is achieved.

Day

Number of drops

Day 1

1

Day – 2

1-2

Day 3

2-3

Day – 4

2-3

Day – 5

3-4

Method to find the dosage of CBD oil for sleeping

CBD and melatonin – a good combination to fall asleep and stay asleep?

Melatonin can help you fall asleep faster. In that respect, it is not a bad approach. When combined with CBD, it becomes very interesting: because whoever wants to fall asleep usually has to sleep until the next morning. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, research is not yet clear whether this seemingly logical combination also leads to success. However, there are a growing number of tests and reports from the field that indicate that it can be useful for at least some people.

As with all other supplements, for CBD sprays containing melatonin, you must follow the dosage instructions. It depends on the product and what is in it. There are many useful assumptions that are completely wrong. Ideally, keep the CBD oil under your tongue for a minute and a half to two minutes before swallowing the drops to put them to sleep. For example, a cannabis sleeping spray should be taken 30 minutes before going to bed. The recommended dose of CBD oil with melatonin is 4 pumps. Whether you really want to overcome insomnia or want to improve your already good sleep, the dosage will remain the same. More importantly, we also offer cannabis plus sleep spray, a proven formula that contains an extra dose of melatonin.

When to take CBD oil for sleep

The time it takes for the effect to take effect can vary for each of us. For our cannabis sleep spray (see above), it is recommended to take it 30 minutes before going to bed. For oral CBD, it can take up to two hours to reach the maximum concentration in the system. However, the first potential impact may appear after 30 minutes. The ideal time between ingestion and attempting to fall asleep is somewhere in between.

Tip 2: Identify sleep problems – the first step to sleep optimization

In order to give you advice on how to sleep better by adapting to your nighttime habits and CBD, we need to address one important aspect: we distinguish between classic sleep problems and so-called sleep disorders. Sleep problems are usually caused by stress, worry, excessive demand or an unhealthy lifestyle. When you wake up regularly during the night and can’t get back to sleep, the doctor will call it a sleep disorder. Or you can’t rest and falling asleep becomes a nightmare.

In this case, your position in our guide is wrong. Then your path leads you to your family doctor. This solves the first false assumption: yes, it is possible to use CBD to solve sleep problems. If the cause of sleep deprivation is a medical problem such as trauma therapy or mental illness, the problem must be eliminated before sleep optimization can be performed.

Tip 3: Let the helpers support you

As the last tag before bed, it would be great if you could find something to really relax you. There is no alcohol or other things that make you tired, but at the same time it will prevent lack of sleep. Thanks again, you were exhausted when you woke up in the morning. For example, during the cold season, a hot tub can work well. Here you must provide an appropriate framework.

I don’t need to explain this to our readers, the male world is paying attention for a moment: If you want to relax in a hot tub, design your bathroom accordingly. It’s all about making sure you’re comfortable.

Tip 4: Classic sleep medicine

In the case of sleep problems caused by stress, for example, many people today turn to conventional sleeping pills or sleeping pills. We didn’t think too much about it. Because they have many flaws, they are not effective in our eyes. From physical dependence on sleeping pills to ending psychological and physical dependence, there are many other side effects that should keep you from taking them. These are essentially aids used by medical professionals when you can’t get enough sleep or to help you fall asleep for medical reasons. However, since we are talking about classic sleep problems, you should consider other methods. You just came across the topic “Can CBD oil really help you fall asleep?”

Tip 5: Know your tools!

What happens when you have a sleep disorder. In short, your body’s cannabinoid system ensures that you function “normally”. If the system is weakened in any way, it will be difficult to keep your body system functioning properly. This is where CBD sleep can help. Because of the use of classical CBD, we are essentially talking about the input of external cannabinoids into the body’s cannabinoid system. In this way, it can take on neurotransmitter tasks by interacting with your personal endocannabinoid system and helping it perform tasks. In other words, this is how you can help your body keep the system in balance and ensure proper sleep.

The CBD industry in Switzerland is growing at an ever increasing rate. According to Tages-Anzeiger, CBD brought in about 60 million Swiss francs to the country in 2017. By 2027, the market is expected to reach 320 million Swiss francs. Switzerland is the best place to enter the European cannabis market.

But why? In this article, you will learn what makes Switzerland an exciting country for companies in the cannabis and CBD industries looking to enter the European market. You will also learn many facts about Swiss CBD.

Swiss Convention on Biological Diversity: The only country/region with a 1% THC threshold

Let’s start with the basics. Is CBD legal in Switzerland? The answer is yes, the Convention on Biological Diversity is legal in Switzerland. It is legal in most European countries. Cannabidiol itself is not prohibited under Swiss drug law. As you know, CBD comes from the hemp plant, and depending on the THC content, the same law may or may not prohibit it. As a general rule, according to the Swiss Convention on Biological Diversity Act, the legality of the consumption, cultivation and sale of products derived from cannabis plants is determined by the THC content. If the THC content of the plant is less than 1%, it is legal. If the cannabis plant contains more, this is not the case. The 1% THC threshold is unique in Swiss law. In most European countries, the limit is 0.2%. So why is it 1%? This allows the plants to reach their full potential and thus develop the best medicinal properties.

The government considers the positive properties of CBD as a potential drug. Switzerland is perhaps the most advanced country in Europe in terms of consumer legislation for the Convention on Biological Diversity.

The Swiss will not copy the existing legislation, but will dare to try, explore and push the limits to use the full potential of these cannabinoids. For businesses, it is important that the government not only supports your industry, but also helps it to grow sustainably in a safe and regulated environment. In terms of regulation, there are a few points to mention: Selling, using, manufacturing or possessing marijuana with a THC content of more than 1% is considered a criminal offense and (depending on the violation) is punishable by three years in prison.

In addition to this restriction, other rules apply. For example: Like alcohol or tobacco, you must be at least 18 years old to purchase CBD products. If you’re a business, cannabidiol products mean you can’t make a clear promise of a cure.

In Switzerland, driving under the influence of CBD is prohibited, but the Federal Office of Public Health advises against it. The problem with driving in Switzerland under the influence of some CBD products is that you may soon exceed the legal limit of THC, which is 1.5 micrograms per liter of blood. Zero tolerance for drugs on the road. Therefore, consuming some CBD products may cause you to exceed the tolerance level.

However, according to the World Health Organization, the Convention on Biological Diversity is not a drug. All CBD products do not contain THC. The term “full spectrum cannabis product” refers to a product that contains many cannabinoids that have a high concentration of CBD and a low concentration of tetrahydrocannabinol.

If you buy products containing isolated CBD, this rule does not apply. This means that you can use THC-free CBD products every day without worrying about driving or engaging in other regulated activities that would exceed legal limits. For example, Charlotte’s Web recently launched a new CBD oil called “CBD isolate oil” (CBD oil without THC).

Swiss CBD: medical marijuana, when?

Does Switzerland make full use of marijuana for medical purposes? The answer is no. At least not yet. Currently, the Swiss do not have an official medical cannabis plan. The law (July 2011) allows doctors to prescribe medical marijuana, and only patients have special permission from the Federal Office of Public Health. Patients with this type of licence may use cannabis products such as cannabis oil, tinctures or synthetic products (such as dronabinol). Cannabis in flower or resin form cannot be used for treatment. That is the theory. The reality is different.

The FOPH estimates that 70,000 to 100,000 people used cannabis as a drug in Switzerland in 2017, while only 3,000 people held such a license. Usually, this authorization is only granted to seriously ill patients. Each patient’s condition is assessed and treated individually, which makes the whole process very slow. The reality is that very few people can use it. The good news is that the Swiss government is aware of this situation and is taking action. The Home Office is tasked with amending this law by summer 2019. But what does this mean for the industry?

This shows the world that Switzerland is not afraid to innovate and try different things. She is open to the medicinal potential of cannabis and CBD. These clear signs show that the market has all the conditions for continued prosperity and development. Usually, these decisions and laws take some time to unfold and implement. However, this is because they are intended for long-term use. Fortunately, we are living in a new era of cannabis.

CBD Switzerland: Growing CBD, one of the few countries where you don’t need a license

Cannabis production was legalized in August 2016. As long as the plant does not exceed the legal limit of 1% THC, it is legal to grow CBD in Switzerland, i.e. no license to grow CBD in Switzerland is required. In theory, anyone can grow their own CBD hemp plants at home. There is no doubt that Switzerland is an ideal place for foreign companies wishing to enter the European cannabis market to establish a cannabis business in the country. While you still need to take all the necessary steps to start a legitimate business, you can save time and effort without having to obtain a growth license.

You can buy cannabidiol products in the form of supplements, cosmetics or cigarettes in Switzerland.

As long as the THC content of the product is below 1%, it is legal to buy CBD in Switzerland.

You must be at least 18 years old to buy cannabidiol products in Switzerland. Buying CBD in Switzerland is easy. There are many CBD shops in Switzerland. However, always look for good quality.

Where to buy CBD?

Many CBD shops are located throughout Switzerland. You can also buy online. Orders purchased in CBD online shops are shipped throughout Switzerland and Europe. There are many marijuana stores. However, you should always look for high quality products.

You can also find these products at kiosks, gas stations and other stores. You can find various products such as CBD oil/tinctures, capsules, cosmetics, supplements, sprays and cigarettes. Yes, CBD cigarettes. Switzerland is the first country to develop CBD products to replace traditional cigarettes.

Cigarettes containing cannabidiol flowers replace tobacco consumption. We are not saying that CBD cigarettes are healthy. Smoking is unhealthy. You will see such images and logos in the packaging of this product, just like regular cigarettes. However, in terms of opportunities and industry development, it is yet another sign of the country’s openness to the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Like every other country in the world, businesses must register with the appropriate legal status to sell goods. CBD Switzerland is considered a tobacco product.

Legality of CBD in Switzerland

All economic activities must be declared and the appropriate taxes paid at the end of the fiscal year. Since CBD is legal, you do not need to sell cannabis products in Switzerland to have a specific CBD license. As mentioned earlier, this is a product that can only be purchased by people over 18 years old. This means that all permits related to this type of business, such as a tobacco store, are required.

Depending on the product category, there are specific taxes. For example, all CBD products for smoking are subject to tobacco tax. In addition, the most important guiding principle is to respect the 1% THC threshold. It applies from production to distribution, from retail to import. Cannabis plants and products that do not exceed this threshold may be imported and sold in Switzerland. For exports, the rules will change because other countries have different threshold percentages. Most European countries / regions accept CBD products with a maximum THC of 0.2%. In summary, the market is fairly free and open. This is another positive point of the company.

CBD Switzerland: the evolving sector will become stronger

The largest market for CBD and hemp is in the United States. This CBD market is expected to reach US$591 by the end of 2021. Forecasts show that by the end of 2022, the value of the U.S. CBD industry will reach US$2.1 billion. Since 2016, this number has increased by 700%. The central business district of the Swiss CBD is still very young. The year of its inception was 2017, when the industry was valued at about 60 million Swiss francs (US$59.5 million).

The demand for CBD in Switzerland is increasing. The industry is expected to grow at an annual rate of 39%. By 2027, this number is expected to reach 320 million Swiss francs ($318). If we follow these estimates, Switzerland will reach 83 million Swiss francs by the end of 2018. The population of the United States is approximately 328 million. The population of Switzerland is 8.4 million. If you’re counting, the average Swiss CBD spend is five times what it was in 2018. This is particularly interesting in one of the richest countries in the world. The cannabis and CBD industries are growing strongly in Switzerland and are expected to continue to do so.

Shipping CBD from Switzerland to Germany or Europe

As long as the place of transport considers cannabidiol legal in the country, it is legal to transport CBD from Switzerland to the rest of Europe. As mentioned above, the company must verify the THC content of the products shipped. In most European countries, only 0.2% of THC is legal. Therefore, as a company, you can send products containing less than 0.2% THC to other European countries / regions.

However, because Switzerland is outside the European Union, it sometimes continues to ship goods to European countries until the value added tax is deducted. However, since this is still a new phenomenon and not everyone knows what cannabinoids are, shipments are sometimes stopped at customs.

When this happens, the delivery time is a few days longer than expected, but it should arrive at your door. In this case, if all the above conditions are met, keep it for a few days for inspection, and after several inspections and possibly several phone calls, they will send it to the final destination.

Based on our personal experience, we have found that this happens frequently when shipping CBD from Switzerland to Germany. Usually it takes a few more days, but it finally arrives at the recipient. In short, as long as you comply with national laws, you can ship CBD products from Switzerland to other EU countries.

CBD is being hailed as the new wonder drug. It is believed to cure many diseases and alleviate illnesses. But what’s behind it all?

What’s behind the CBD oil hype?

Minor effects on pain, inflammation, sleep and skin problems – products containing cannabidiol, a plant ingredient in cannabis, are said to be able to do this. Many people associate cannabis with drug use, but that is about to change. We will explain how cannabidiol (CBD) works and how to use it.

CBD oil: what is cannabidiol?

The main active ingredients in the cannabis plant are CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). Unlike THC (e.g. in the form of marijuana), which produces a high sense of psychedelia and therefore makes you “high”, CBD does not produce intoxicating effects.

The European Court of Justice has also ruled that: “Compared to THC, it ‘obviously has no mental or harmful effects’. It is clear: CBD is not a drug.

On the contrary, CBD is said to have anticonvulsant, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, cannabidiol is said to have calming and anti-anxiety effects.

In France, CBD can be sold as a dietary or beauty supplement without a prescription, but it cannot be sold as a drug. In Switzerland, there are also cigarettes containing CBD on the market.

The most common method of administration remains CBD oil. However, CBD can also be taken in tablet form or processed into cosmetics. CBD oil is non-toxic, so it can be used for a long time.

Important note: unlike THC oil, which requires strict prescriptions (e.g. for the treatment of severe pain and various neurological diseases), CBD oil contains little or no THC (up to 0.2%), so it can be used without a prescription

CBD would have an anti-inflammatory effect.

CBD has many different uses and is currently becoming more and more popular in more and more countries around the world: for example, coffee shops in the US now offer CBD coffee, as do CBD cocktails in Hollywood. The substance comes in the form of cream, ice cream, gum and massage oil.

The long-term mechanism of action of CBD-activating drugs has not been fully studied. Neurologists state, “There is a lack of good research on the effectiveness of CBD.” “But CBD is said to have anti-inflammatory effects and interfere with vasodilation and serotonin metabolism.”

The scope of the CBD’s impact is broad. However, various studies have shown that CBD has antibacterial effects, which can protect cells from oxidative stress and slow down inflammation.

What is CBD used for?

Epilepsy: Early results indicate that CBD can support the treatment of epilepsy (especially in children) and reduce the frequency of seizures.

Pain: cannabinoids have an analgesic effect. Therefore, CBD can have a positive effect on joint pain, headaches (migraine) and menstrual pain. CBD has also been used effectively for fibromyalgia and arthritis.

Skin problems: according to research published in the Journal of Clinical Research, CBD may also have a soothing effect on atopic dermatitis, acne and other skin problems.

Anxiety: Studies have shown that cannabidiol can slow down the production of anxiety hormones. In this regard, CBD not only has a positive effect on everyday anxiety, but also seems to help relieve anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Stress and sleep disorders: CBD has a relaxing effect and improves sleep quality. It is also thought that stress-related problems, such as nervousness or irritability, may be alleviated by CBD.

Cancer treatment: Studies have also shown that CBD oil can ensure faster destruction of cancer cells, slow tumor growth and inhibit metastasis. CBD oil can also relieve the side effects of chemotherapy.

Side effects of CBD

However, in addition to the positive effects, researchers have also discovered some side effects of medical marijuana, such as drowsiness. Dry mouth, drowsiness and dizziness are also possible. In fact, CBD will slightly lower blood pressure.

You like CBD, but you know what are the differences between Swiss CBD and French CBD to make the best possible choice. Your question is quite legitimate. Even if it is impossible to know clearly what are the dissimilarities between these two types, we propose you some elements to better understand its disparities.

France and Switzerland: CBD producing countries

Europe has become a real European hemp production area in recent years. In this struggle for monopoly, many countries are waging a war without limits. Along with Spain and Italy, Switzerland and France are leaders. But each of these countries works its difference and sells its production to consumers in neighbouring countries. To enable you to buy quality cannabidiol products, these few differences between Swiss CBD and French CBD will help you.

Of organic products

French CBD producers are promoting their organic products. This ensures that you are consuming CBD that does not have chemicals associated with it. This requirement during production makes all the difference in terms of quality and health.

In addition, French CBD products are often tested in a laboratory, which guarantees buyers that the products offered for sale are legal and of high quality. Once again, it is the French touch, which makes all the difference, because the European and French legislation on the subject is quite rigorous.

Low rates

One of the differences between Swiss CBD and French CBD is undoubtedly the ratio between quality and price. As we said, CBD products are mostly organic, so their quality is higher, but their price is still reasonable. Moreover, if we take into consideration the diversity of the French products offered, it adds to the low prices when we know the research work that is necessary to ensure the production of products like Cannatonic, Super Shunk, Blue Dream and Lemon Haze and flowers like Master Kus, Blueberry, Tsunami, Harlequin, Strawberry and Gorrilla Glue.

Better quality CBD resins

The French CBD resins are exceptional products, in addition to being an entirely French production, they offer a rate of cannabidiol that can peak up to 50% while offering 0% THC. Designed in simple compliance with French legislation on CBD, they are produced on French territory. Full Spectrum, they are also flavoured, which allows them to be of better quality. Some of the Swiss CBD resins, however, still have THC residues.

Can I use CBD for inflammation? This is the question we have sought to answer in this article. To give you all the information you’ll need, we’ll first dive into what inflammation is, when it’s healthy or unhealthy, and some of the lifestyle factors that can promote or reduce inflammation.

We will then explain how CBD affects your health and homeostasis through its ability to interact with your body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS). Finally, we will conclude with an overview of important new studies on the potential benefits of CBD for inflammation.

But we should start with the basics, to make sure we’re all on the same page about what inflammation really is.

What is inflammation?

The word “inflammation” can conjure up images of pain, redness and swelling. This word tends to have a negative connotation. But in reality, inflammation is a natural and healthy reaction… sometimes.

Inflammation is an immune response produced by your body to protect itself from injury, disease or infection. It works by sending white blood cells into the affected area. In fact, this is what causes the redness and swelling: blood cells!

There are two types of inflammation:

Acute inflammation is when your body is faced with an acute stressor, such as a kick in the shin against the furniture, a splinter in the finger or an infection. This type of inflammation is an important part of the healing process when something has happened that has messed up your body in some way. You can often recognize acute inflammation by one or more of these five cardinal signs of inflammation:

Redness

Swelling

Heat

Pain

Loss of function

Chronic inflammation, sometimes called systemic inflammation, is also an inflammatory response. But instead of being a short-lived response that disappears after a few hours or days, chronic inflammation remains. In a sense, this means that your body’s immune system is constantly activated in response to a chronic irritant or toxin, such as cigarette smoke, excess body fat or certain viral infections.

In summary, inflammation is a healthy immune response to irritants or injury. But when inflammation lasts too long, it can begin to destroy healthy tissue and create health problems. It can contribute to problems such as atherosclerosis and create symptoms such as bloating, pain, fatigue and “brain fog.

Now that you know that chronic inflammation is something to avoid, you may be wondering: what causes chronic inflammation?

Lifestyle risk factors for chronic inflammation

In some cases, chronic inflammation may be the result of factors beyond your control, such as autoimmune disorders or viral infections. In these cases, it is best to consult a doctor.

However, many causes of chronic inflammation are related to lifestyle and dietary factors that are within your control. Some of the known risk factors for chronic inflammation include:

Smoking.

Cigarette smoking is a well-known contributor to chronic inflammation. It induces several pro-inflammatory molecules while impairing the production of useful anti-inflammatory substances.

Obesity.

Did you know that adipose tissue (aka fat) is actually considered an organ, part of your endocrine system? That is correct. And adipose tissue is responsible for the storage and secretion of a variety of hormones and cytokines.

When your body is at a normal weight and your fat tissue is functioning properly, these hormones are kept in a healthy balance. But too much body fat can lead to an excess of certain substances that contribute to inflammation (such as IL-6, an inflammatory cytokine). This effect can be particularly pronounced in visceral fat (the fat between your body organs), which can create up to three times more IL-6 than other fat cells.

Age.

Unfortunately, advanced age also appears to contribute to higher levels of inflammation. This is even the case in otherwise healthy elderly people, and may be the result of an accumulation of oxidative damage over time.

Irregular sleep.

People who don’t get enough sleep tend to have more chronic inflammation than those who get enough rest each night.

Diet.

What you eat also seems to have an impact on inflammation. Diets high in saturated and trans fats, in particular, have been associated with higher levels of inflammatory markers. And this seems to be especially true for people with other inflammatory diseases, such as obesity or diabetes.

Another important cause? Overconsumption in general. Some studies have shown that simply eating a reduced-calorie diet can help curb chronic inflammation.

Chronic stress.

Whether it’s keeping up with a demanding job, raising children, or dealing with difficult world events, it seems we’re all stressed these days. Intermittent episodes of acute stress are one thing… but when your stress levels are consistently high, it can contribute to chronically elevated inflammation markers. This seems to be true for both physical and mental stress.

Lifestyle factors that reduce inflammation

Now it’s time to tell the good news. Most of the risk factors for inflammation we discussed in the last section are within your control – which means that with a few lifestyle changes, you can take steps to help reduce systemic inflammation. Here are some of them:

Eat a healthy diet.

An anti-inflammatory diet consists of lots of plant foods, with less red meat and fewer processed foods like sodas and sugary cereals. Two nutrients that may be particularly important are antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. Foods that fall into these categories include fruits and vegetables, salmon, whole grains, beans and lentils, and green tea.

Maintain a healthy weight and stop smoking.

We discussed these two risk factors in the last section. The good news is that these are two things you can change. Losing weight and quitting smoking may not be easy, but they are two of the most effective ways to reduce your chronic inflammation levels.

Exercise.

Another way to reduce inflammation is to get up and move! And here’s more good news: you don’t have to kill yourself at the gym or run for miles to reduce inflammation. Purshape shows that even a single 20-minute session of moderate cardio helps reduce inflammation levels.

Sleep regularly.

Getting enough sleep each night is a simple but effective way to give your body the rest and recovery it needs to keep inflammation levels in check. One way to do this is through good sleep hygiene: keep your bedroom dark and cool, maintain a regular sleep schedule, and avoid television and caffeine near bedtime.

Reduce stress.

Chronic stress can be one of the most insidious causes of inflammation because it is such a slippery concept. But it is a very real phenomenon in our lives, and we all have to deal with it to some degree. Ask yourself if there are stressful situations you can avoid or if you can adopt a calming practice such as yoga or meditation to help control your stress levels.

Now that you have a good overview of what inflammation is, what causes it, and what fights it, let’s change the subject and talk about CBD and how it affects your body in a positive way.

The Endocannabinoid System: The Key to Your Body’s Balance

To understand how CBD works, you need to become familiar with what is known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is the part of your body responsible for maintaining balance and homeostasis in a wide variety of important functions, such as your moods, hormones, sleep cycles, etc.

Returning to the topic of this article, the ECS also helps modulate stress and inflammation and is considered a new key player in inflammation. So it makes sense that to help manage stress and inflammation levels, it is important to keep the ECS healthy and functioning.

How do we get there?

Your ECS system contains specific receivers. Think of these receivers as keyholes. For your central nervous system to function properly, these receptors must be paired with a key that fits the lock – and the keys your central nervous system needs are called cannabinoids.

How CBD helps stimulate your body’s endocannabinoid system

We’ve just established that your ECS system needs cannabinoids to function properly, some of which are manufactured by your body. They are called endocannabinoids. Others are manufactured by plants and can be consumed: these are the phytocannabinoids. Certain phytocannabinoids have been shown to interact effectively with your endocannabinoid system and help support your body’s ability to stay in homeostasis.

One of the best known of these phytocannabinoids is CBD, or cannabidiol.

Taking CBD orally – throughconcentratedCBD oils, from tastyCBD gummies or convenient CBD capsules – can help supplement your body’s cannabinoid levels and ensure that your central nervous system has the resources it needs to keep your body healthy and in tune.

We already know that taking CBD can provide significant benefits, including:

Helps to manage stress and anxiety on a daily basis.

Taking CBD helps your body better handle the small stresses and anxiety that can build up over time, helping you feel more resilient and in control.

Promotes healthy sleep cycles.

Taking CBD on a regular basis helps regulate your sleep cycles and promotes deep, regular sleep. It’s amazing how a good night’s sleep can make you more energetic and optimistic, which can make a big difference in your daily life.

Promotes a sense of calm.

By supporting the functioning of your endocannabinoid system, CBD helps you maintain a sense of calm and focus, instead of the scattered and restless feelings that can overtake us when our endocannabinoid system is low in cannabinoids.

But what about CBD for inflammation in particular? Let’s take a look at the studies and see what the research has to say.

What do published studies say about CBD and inflammation?

We strive to make only claims that we can back up with definitive science. So rather than tell you that there are definite benefits to taking CBD for inflammation, we’ll instead share the results of some of the most recent and compelling studies done on the subject and let you make up your own mind.

Study 1: CBD promotes recovery from exercise-induced inflammation

Not surprisingly, intense exercise can damage muscle fibres. What you may not know is that these exercise-induced muscle injuries (EIMD) can trigger an inflammatory response. Some inflammation is beneficial to the healing process, but too much inflammation can prolong pain and delay recovery.

CBD has been shown to stimulate the body’s production of anti-inflammatory cytokines while inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and reactive oxygen species, which helps the body recover from exercise-induced inflammation.

Another investigation showed that relatively higher doses of CBD were able to reduce plasma levels of inflammatory markers, including IL-6 and TNFα, while also reducing tissue damage.

Study 2: Cannabidiol reduces the impact of inflammation on oxidative stress

This research review cites several studies demonstrating CBD’s ability to support the normalization of systemic inflammation. Based on the strength of the available evidence, the authors conclude that “cannabidiol, which can interact with the endocannabinoid system but has distinct actions, holds promise as a prototype for anti-inflammatory drug development. “

What can we conclude from the use of CBD for inflammation?

In conclusion, the preliminary scientific studies are promising, but more studies need to be conducted to see if CBD for inflammation could help. We cannot definitively establish the link between CBD and inflammation at this time. What we do know for sure is that CBD is good for sleep, calmness, stress and exercise-induced inflammation.

Drug testing has become standard protocol for employment purposes. Sometimes these tests are required by the government, as in the case of government jobs, and other times they are voluntarily incorporated by companies. Because of these routine drug tests, many people are concerned about using CBD oil because of its proximity to marijuana and the potential risks that CBD could trigger a positive test result. This concern is justified. People need to take drug testing very seriously, especially when it affects their livelihood or freedom.

First and foremost

Routine drug tests usually include urine, hair follicle, saliva and blood tests. In this article, we will look at the chances of CBD being detected in a saliva test. The chances of testing positive for CBD in this test are low. The vast majority of salivary drug tests look for THC and, by law, CBD products must contain less than 0.2% THC.
 CBD products
must contain less than 0.2% THC. However, there are a few important details you should be aware of.

How accurate is the test?

THC Saliva Test

Saliva drug tests are highly accurate for all drugs, including THC and marijuana. However, their accuracy is limited, as they can only test within a window of about 48 hours.

Urine tests are the industry standard for drug testing, and a review of data from 4.5 million saliva tests showed that positivity rates were comparable to those of urine tests.

Drugs usually show up in a test about 30 to 60 minutes after ingestion. Some over-the-counter drugs may report false positives, but most labs will confirm positive results with a more comprehensive test (this is good news for CBD users! We will come back to this later…).

In fact, it is difficult to “cheat” on oral tests because the test is usually done face-to-face with a colleague or hired professional. Dilution tactics, such as those used in urine testing, are not effective in saliva testing. These tests are hard to “beat”. Okay, enough of the boring stuff. Let’s talk about CBD and saliva drug testing.

Will CBD appear in a saliva test?

As with CBD and other drug tests, the answer is most likely no. However, there is always a chance that the answer is yes. So let’s talk about the risks of CBD and saliva testing…

Most CBD products contain traces of THC. The legal limit is 0.2% THC, which is not nearly enough to get you high. It’s like drinking a non-alcoholic beer. The vast majority of saliva drug tests look for THCa (the “parent” compound of THC).

Even though CBD contains such small amounts of THC, there is still a chance that it will signal a positive result. Especially in the context of saliva, if you take large amounts of CBD before the test (72 hours before), this can be a problem. CBD is not currently regulated either. This means that no regulatory body controls CBD companies to ensure quality (yet…).

The result? Some CBD products contain more than 0.2% THC, which increases the risk of a positive oral fluid test. These products are federally illegal and classified as “Marijuana”. Make sure you buy from a reputable brand that has certified lab reports on all its products.

What rappers like Snoop Dog, Marteria and others have long wished for is now coming to pass. become reality in Germany: a new bill will in future allow doctors to prescribe cannabis-based medicines to seriously ill patients, which will then also be covered by health insurance companies. What this changes for consumption and supply, what are the pros and cons of regular use and how a patient feels after cannabis therapy, you’ll find out this week in our reading tips.

Anyone who has ever experienced the relaxing effects of marijuana wonders why cannabis is illegal. Perhaps because a relaxed population is unproductive? Nevertheless, cannabis still has a bad reputation, even though it is one of the oldest crops in the world. For at least ten thousand years, the fibres of the hemp plant have been used to make clothing, paper, food and fuel. The psychoactive effect of cannabis has also been known for over 3000 years. But cannabis doesn’t just get you high: For several decades, the effect of another active ingredient in cannabis has been studied: CBD is the name of the miracle product that is now on everyone’s lips. We answer the most important questions about CBD and its (side) effects.

Finally cannabis is allowed to help

What lasts a long time, eventually becomes good. A detailed report on what will really change in the future for seriously ill patients who can be helped by cannabis-based medicines. Instead of paying just under 1,800 euros per month and only with the special agreement of the state, health insurance companies will now have to cover the costs, and access to the medicine will also be simplified. To find out how this will work, click here.

Vice: “Visit of a depressive who tried to cure himself with cannabis”.

“Pot was my personal prescription for it. Especially in the morning when I had nothing to do.” Thomas is 27 years old and already noticed as a child that something was wrong with him. For example, when he was diagnosed with Type II bipolar disorder, he tried to manage his condition with cannabis. He explained in an interview with Vice why it has plunged him into social isolation, what motivated him to seek therapy and what he recommends to other sufferers.

Huffington Post: “Cannabis can relieve pain, but carries risks: U.S. Report

In the United States, the use and possession of cannabis has long been legal. A report on the benefits and risks of regular use can be read here. In addition, HuffingPost listed 50 prominent friends of green, funny joy.

What happens if I am stopped by the police with CBD in Germany?

The purchase and possession of CBD products containing less than 0.2% THC is legal in Germany. German law states that you may not possess more than 0.1 grams of marijuana or hashish. In Berlin, the upper limit (as of October 16, 2017) is 15 grams “if there is no danger to others.”
